The Library at Cold Spring School

Visitors to Cold Spring quickly notice the presence of books throughout the school. The library may be the logical place to look for a book, but at Cold Spring it isn’t the only place. We have a large collection that is intentionally decentralized. Bookcases line our hallways and each classroom has a large selection of age appropriate fiction and non-fiction genre chosen by classroom teachers. Our collection is used as a source for choosing daily read-alouds, independent and guided reading text, literature study, and research. It is an essential resource that sets our students on their way to becoming life-long readers and critical thinkers.
